Individual Therapy

When something in your health or life doesn’t feel right, it can be difficult to know where to start.

You might have a sense that something needs to change, but feel unsure how to move forward, or stuck in patterns that are hard to shift on your own.

Therapy offers a space to pause, make sense of what’s going on, and begin to move forward in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Sessions are confidential, one-to-one, and tailored to you.

We start by building a clear understanding of what’s going on, what you’re dealing with, what’s been happening over time, and what may be keeping things difficult.

From there, we work together to develop practical ways forward that fit your life.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. The work is adapted to your needs, your pace, and what matters most to you.

What To Expect

Depending on your situation, this could include:

  • Adjusting to a health condition or diagnosis

  • Managing stress, anxiety, or low mood

  • Working through burnout or feeling stuck

  • Understanding patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours

  • Building sustainable habits and routines

  • Regaining a sense of direction, control, and confidence

What We Might Work On

My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based psychological approaches.

Rather than just focusing on symptoms, we look at the wider picture, including your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and the context you’re living in.

You won’t be told what to do. We work together to understand what’s keeping things difficult and develop ways of responding that actually work for you.

The aim isn’t perfection or quick fixes, it’s helping you move forward in a way that feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with what matters to you.

How I Work

Who I Work With

I work with adults who are:

  • Living with a long-term health condition

  • Feeling stuck, burnt out, or off track

  • Struggling with stress, anxiety, or low mood

  • Looking to make meaningful, sustainable changes in their life

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting.

Many of the people I work with are used to coping on their own, and aren’t sure if they’re “bad enough” for therapy.

You don’t need to reach a crisis point to benefit from support.

  • Sessions are £130 for a 50-minute session

  • Delivered online (video or telephone)

  • Sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly

Practical Details

If you have private health insurance, sessions may be fully or partially covered. I am a registered provider with several major UK insurers.

If you’re unsure, we can talk this through during a free 15-minute consultation.

Taking the first step can feel uncertain, especially if you’re not sure what to expect.

That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation.

Starting Therapy

This gives us a chance to:

  • Talk through what’s going on for you

  • See whether this feels like the right fit

  • Answer any questions you might have

There’s no pressure to commit, just a conversation to help you decide what feels right.

Next Step

If this feels like the right direction for you, we can start with a short, no-pressure conversation.

My individual therapy sessions provide a confidential, personalised space to address the emotional and psychological challenges associated with your health condition(s). Guided by evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to develop strategies for building resilience, improving your quality of life, and fostering meaningful personal growth. Whether you’re navigating a chronic illness, managing treatment-related stress, or seeking greater self-confidence, individual therapy can help you gain the support and skills you need to move forward.

As a Health Psychologist, I specialise in helping individuals cope with the full spectrum of psychological impacts related to physical health conditions. This may include:

  • Managing depression, anxiety, or panic attacks

  • Improving sleep and mood

  • Regaining confidence and adjusting to changes in appearance or identity

  • Handling shifts in roles at work or home

  • Processing trauma related to a serious medical event

  • Finding purpose and meaning after significant health changes

  • Overcoming fears about illness progression or recurrence

  • Reducing stress from daily treatment regimens

  • Navigating social anxiety, OCD, phobias, or relationship challenges

  • Enhancing self-esteem, body image, and social skills

  • Adapting to life transitions and maintaining emotional wellbeing

My approach is holistic, acknowledging not only the physical aspects of your health but also the emotional toll that long-term conditions can take. Working collaboratively, we’ll identify coping strategies that fit your unique circumstances, build resilience, and improve your overall wellbeing—no matter where you are in your health journey.
